On December 19, our alumnus Concordia Lutheran School North Point, Hung Kiu Shan, Sean (洪喬山), returned to his alma mater to share his insights and tips on preparing for the HKDSE English exam with the fellow S.5 and S.6 Concordians.
Sean, who is set to graduate from Hong Kong Baptist University this year, dramatically improved his English performance from Level 1 to Level 3 through just one year of self-study.
During the sharing session, Sean emphasized the importance of dedicating at least one hour every day to English exam preparation and practice. He advised students to actively apply learned sentence structures (rather than just memorizing vocabulary) in their daily lives. He also recommended using movies and even AI tools as effective learning resources.
Sean encouraged fellow students to persist with unwavering effort, set clear goals for themselves, and believe that they can achieve their desired results.
