On 29 May 2026, our S1-S2 students embarked on an immersive “STEM for ALL” learning experience at Kiwi Agriculture in San Tin. This activity was designed to ignite students’ interest in science and STEM by combining hands-on practice with vibrant outdoor learning.
The day was packed with educational and interactive segments. Students gained insights into modern agricultural technology by exploring aquaponics systems, learning how IoT technology is utilized to monitor aquaculture and hydroponics environments. The experience extended into creative arts through tie-dyeing and botanical printing workshops. A highlight of the day was the “Animal Encounter” session, where students had the valuable opportunity to interact with rare reptiles, such as bearded dragon lizards. Furthermore, students learned about pearl cultivation and enjoyed a fishing session, with many proud participants taking their catch home.
By connecting academic concepts to real-world agricultural technology, this excursion not only broadened the students’ horizons beyond the textbook but also fostered a deep appreciation for nature and scientific innovation.
