20260708_Museum Visit: Blooming: The Art of Gardens in East and West

Our senior Visual Arts and Chinese History students recently embarked on a joint visit to the “Blooming: The Art of Gardens in East and West” exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, sparking a profound cross-disciplinary dialogue. By juxtaposing the geometric perspective of Versailles with the poetic landscape of Chinese gardens, they traced the footprints of historical shifts and aesthetic evolution. Gardens, serving both as imperial political stages and tangible vessels of cultural fusion, inspired deep reflections on the convergence of Eastern and Western civilizations. During the visit, students also explored various galleries, immersing themselves in the museum’s rich collections to broaden their artistic horizons.
