To help students understand Chinese history and the development of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), particularly in military equipment, and to foster long-term prosperity and stability in Hong Kong, our school organized a visit for Form 1 students to the Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks. The activity aimed to strengthen students’ national identity.
During the visit, students observed a variety of demonstrations, including bayonet drills and hunter combat performances. Stationed military personnel showcased their combat skills, while the weapons and equipment display area allowed students to board naval vessels. Under the soldiers’ guidance, they even simulated shooting, briefly becoming “sharpshooters.”
