On July 7, 2025, students from our school’s Astronomy Club and Physics Department visited the Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen), for an unforgettable cosmic exploration.
Under the guidance of the instructors, students gained hands-on knowledge in practical astronomy—from using star charts to locate seasonal constellations to identifying various stars and galaxies.
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly operating the giant astronomical telescope 🔭. Through its lens, we observed the reddish terrain of Mars, the dazzling Sirius, and the charming Ursa Minor. The experience culminated in a mesmerizing planetarium show, where the dome-shaped ceiling projected a breathtaking starry sky, making everyone feel as though they were floating in the vast cosmos.
Both educational and thrilling, this event made for a truly enriching and enjoyable evening for all!
