The Community Youth Club (CYC) Volunteer Team, International Cultural Campus Team, and Special Needs Education Team recently co-organized a highly meaningful community inclusion activity.
On that day, 20 students visited Ki Lung Street and Yen Chow Street Park in Sham Shui Po to visit local elderly residents, fully embodying the spirit of humble service and walking alongside others as servants. During the event, students touched the hearts of the seniors with a moving performance of the hymn “Amazing Grace,” filling the venue with a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Following the performance, the students transformed into ambassadors of love, personally distributing 100 caring lunch boxes and fresh fruit to accompany the elderly with concrete actions and extend their most sincere care.
This valuable experience allowed students to step outside the classroom and put the spirit of intergenerational inclusion and servant leadership into practice. Through their service, students truly understood the profound truth that “it is more blessed to give than to receive,” spending an afternoon filled with love and warmth.
